Good Afternoon, West London…
You join us in Acton, at the Black Island studios, where Ben and James have just dragged a bruised and bleeding Simon across some wooden panels. All three of them are dressed in what some might describe as rags.

Today, The Captain is being comitted to film. Or to hard-drive. Andy Morahan is at the helm, the incredibly talented gentleman behind the videos for Living Is A Problem, and Machines…
I think this is the first Biffy video to feature a proper ‘set’. It feels a bit like being on a movie set.
As always, I’m reluctant to give too much away yet… Perhaps some cryptic photos… 🙂
So, with the band back from the USA, with the album finished, the wagons are very much circling. The diary is solid until the end of the year, and talk is already underway for how we’re going to spend our lives next year. Those outwith Europe, both east and west, will hopefully be pleased to hear that they are very much at the forefront of everyone’s thoughts, and we’ll hopefully have some news over the next couple of months, as to when the band will be popping up in a venue on other shores…
First up, though, is the album release, and the UK and European tour… We’re also doing some further dates in Europe, playing with another phenomenal band… Though we can’t talk about that quite yet… Not that that has stopped a few online sources giving the game away… But i’m saying nothing quite yet 🙂 Stay tuned.
The album is currently scheduled for very early November. Within the first couple of weeks, whilst we’re on tour in the UK.
The artwork is around now for perusal. And its typically amazing, in my opinion. After you’ve looked at it, look again. Its all about the small details.
The album itself, is staggering. I’m yet again reluctant to go into too much detail, particularly since i understand that if you’re reading this, chances are you have a fair amount of love for the band and their music, and it’s still a good few weeks before you’ll be able to hear this record. But I would like to say that as a huge fan of BC, and as someone lucky enough to be familiar with their songs, before they are properly recorded, hearing the finished record for the first time was an experience i will never forget. Astonishing.
As we mentioned, tour is just around the corner. We are now in the process of finalising the various bits and bobs that go alongside the tour. Busses. Trucks. Audio. Lights. People. Food. Sleep. Water Coolers. Ping Pong Tables. All the important shit.
I think the show itself could be pretty amazing. The ideas floating around are particularly exciting.
thats about it for now…
anyone got any questions about anything?
